2. Aesthetic considerations:
2.1 Form (Shape)
Make an emphatic sporting statement with exposed Carbon-Fibre highlights. The Coupe’s side profile is clean and distinctive, with a single-sweep roofline that flows through to a distinctive tail. Key Aston Martin design elements include the distinctive grille, metal side strakes, signature rear window shape and wide, curvaceous haunches. Aston Martin very fast, so it needs to be aerodynamically efficient The exhaust silencer is aerodynamically shaped to help achieve high speed.

2.2 Symmetry and Balance:-
The car body is symmetrical about longitudinal axis and centrally balanced

2.3 Color:
This car is available in different colors to attract the different customers. Available different colors are as shown below:-

2.4 Continuity:
The main feature of car body is to attract the customers. Appearance of Aston Martin is classical like a Coupe car which is different from today’s modern cars attracts the people due to its road presence. The car body gives Luxurious look.
2.5 Variants
DB9 Volante:
The Aston Martin DB9 Volante is the convertible version of the DB9 coupe. The chassis, though stiffer, uses the same base VH platform. To protect occupants from rollovers, the Volante has strengthened the windshield pillars and added two pop-up hoops behind the rear seats. The hoops cannot be disabled and will break the car’s rear window if deployed. In an effort to improve the Volante’s ride while cruising, Aston Martin have softened the springs and lightened the anti-roll bars in the Volante, leading to a gentler suspension. The retractable roof of the Volante is made of folding fabric and takes 17 seconds to be put up or down. The Volante weighs 59 kilograms (130 pounds) more than the coupe.

The DB9 LM comes standard with the DB9’s optional sports pack and is only available as a semi-automatic coupe. The LM is painted Sarthe Silver, named after the Circuit de la Sarthe, where Le Mans is run, and has red brake calipers, a chromed mesh grill, and a special black leather interior, with red stitching and the Le Mans track stitched on the central consol. The car is also fitted with the DBS clear rear lights.

DB9 Carbon Black:
The DB9 Carbon Black, as its name suggests, has a black paint finish and matching interior. This includes a black center console and interior door handles on the inside, and black grills, a black tailpipe, and black 483 mm (19 in) 10-spoke wheels on the outside. The interior also has numerous add-ons to make the car more sporty, including silver stitching for the leather and a polished glass gear stick. The exhaust has been modified to create a different sound to add to the sporty feel. The Carbon Black is only available as a six-speed semi-automatic.

2.6 Proportion:
The Weight of car is balanced on four wheels. The position of head lights tail lights and side’s mirrors are parallel to each other. Head lights and tail lights are so elongated that they became proportional to its design. It has adopted the coupe’s sharpened and elongated front lights, LED markers and daytime running lamps, along with its gaping lower intake with a carbon-fiber front splitter. The lower rear fascia is also nearly identical, with a more prominent lower diffuser styled to emphasize its aggressiveness.

3. Ergonomic consideration:

3.1 Display & Controls:
All controls are within easy reach. The highly intuitive ‘Touchtronic 2’ transmission is operated via simple, dashboard-mounted buttons, flanking the docking station for the ECU. A combination of solid aluminium dials and chromed buttons operate the DB9’s audio systems, Bluetooth telephony and hard-disk based navigation, while a classic analogue clock is placed at the heart of the console. Raise the centre armrest and you’ll find a space to store your iPod, iPhone or any telephone or MP3 device. 3.2 Gear Shift Paddle:
Aston Martin has “Semi-automatic transmissions”, where the driver does not need to change gears at all, operating in the same manner as a conventional type of automatic transmission by allowing the transmission’s computer to automatically change gear.
Two paddles are located behind the steering wheel for changing gears. One paddle is located behind the right side of the steering wheel and the other paddle is on the left side behind the steering wheel. The one on the right is marked + for shifting up a gear and the one on the left is marked – for shifting a gear down. Paddle shift is a smooth and fast way of changing gears without having to take your hands off the steering wheel and using your left leg to depress the clutch. The gear changes are also much faster than that of a conventional manual gearbox. Many sports cars and race cars are equipped with paddle shift gearboxes for seamless gear changes that result in a continuous surge of acceleration which reduces acceleration timings of a car.
